Holidaze & Merry Born Day Luis

The Holidaze phase has officially begun and will continue until my birthday in January next year.
It has always been kicked off beginning Thanksgiving and it just keeps on going.
I come from a pretty large family and we use any excuse to have a cook out and get together.
Thanksgiving is no exception... it usually turns into a 4 day family gathering and I can't say that I hate it.

Today, we will continue with the festivities and celebrate my cousin Luis' 18th birthday!
I love all my cousins and Luis is no exception. I am pretty proud of him to say the least.
He's a great student, enrolled in AP classes in high school, member of his high school's varsity wrestling team (and you gotta give any guy props for wearing those singlets), he plans to join the Navy and attend college out of state; he already has a few picked out. I have helped him write his personal statement and I can tell you that he doesn't settle for less. We usually have debates because he always thinks he's correct which isn't always the case. I will admit that I have learned a lot from him. My favorite characteristic of his is his independence of other's opinions. I'm glad that he isn't the stereotype teenager following the masses  but on the contrary, he has goals and is actively working towards them. I can say a high volume of good things about my cousin, even the fact that I used to change his diapers and feed him (I swear, I'm not that old). Anyway, he's one of four cousins graduating from high school this coming year and I'm extremely grateful for that.

So, from your favorite big cousin, Happy Birthday Luis, or should I say "Pollito"! Love ya!!!

Happy Birthday to my prima Crystal.
She turned 18 on November 11th along with her younger brother Devan, 6.
Makes me feel very old to know I used to change her diapers.

Before the festivities, I will be fulfilling my duties at Ricky's movie production.
Pretty much, I contribute with audio, balancing levels on the mixer for the boom mic and all that good shit. It's something I've never done before but, my friend is one of those people who assists you with discovering different talents within you. Definitely look up to this guy that I've known for over 12 years.

It's not hard to tell that my blog has been neglected in a major way.
Thoughts of keeping this blog or migrate to tumblr or even purchase my own domain have been running through my mind the last few days. Well, the thought pops into my head and I entertain it a bit and then somehow it fades.

Every few months or so, I find myself googling my own blogspot until I realize that logging into gmail also logs me into the blog (doh). Yeah, how's that for a regular blogger?

I did, though, decide to change my url as well as the heading to this dead blog in efforts of it's revival. It may very well change, it may not. The name NelBellz was given to me earlier this year by a Dutch friend.... I assume he decided that a combination of my name and my "then" favorite women "streetwear" line, Hellz Bellz, was a good nickname. The nickname stuck so much that I adopted it as my twitter screen name. I can't seem to get rid of Mizz Kickz as it has been my alias for over 5 years.

As I was reviewing my old posts all I could say was, "wow". That's not a very positive wow either. My other thoughts were, "Who's really interested in reading what I have to say in the midst of the blog era where everyone who is everyone has a blog?" The answer to that question will soon be answered as I begin to post. Quite honestly, I don't have the most positive opinions in regards to blogs. I don't really invest my time in reading blogs. As a matter of fact, the last blog I used to read religiously was The Hundreds and I can't recall the last time I read it, maybe last year or early this year. Enough of that.

So my plans may consist of posting shots from my flickr and maybe explain or give a caption to each one. One thing I really enjoy in life is Music and Photography. Traveling is also high ranking amongst what I enjoy doing. I think that's it for tonight.

One last note: I can't believe I'm blogging lol.
